About Infinergi

What does Infinergi do?
Infinergi is a Malaysian energy efficiency and solar company and the official Eniscope and Best.Energy partner in Malaysia. It helps businesses cut electricity costs with IoT energy monitoring, smart building controls, commercial solar PV and battery storage, starting with a free energy audit and with zero CAPEX financing available. Services include free energy audits, Eniscope IoT energy monitoring, smart building controls, energy efficiency upgrades, commercial and residential solar PV, battery energy storage and automated ESG reporting.
Where does Infinergi operate?
Infinergi serves businesses and homeowners across Peninsular Malaysia. Multi-site energy monitoring is managed through the cloud, so retail and F&B chains can cover all their outlets from one dashboard.
Which industries does Infinergi work with?
Factories and manufacturing, commercial buildings and offices, retail chains and malls, F&B outlets, hotels, hospitals and healthcare, logistics and warehouses, schools and residential customers.
How do I contact Infinergi?
Email sales@infinergi.com.my, call or WhatsApp +60 12-749 6950, or request a free energy audit online. We reply within 24 hours, usually within 2 hours on business days via WhatsApp.

Energy savings & costs

How can I reduce my business electricity bill in Malaysia?
Work in this order: (1) check your tariff and maximum demand for avoidable charges; (2) schedule air-conditioning, lighting and machines to actual operating hours; (3) measure major loads with IoT sub-metering to find hidden waste; (4) upgrade inefficient equipment where data shows the best payback; (5) add rooftop solar and, where it pays, battery storage. See our 30 energy saving ideas.
How much can energy efficiency save my business?
Typically 15 to 40% of the electricity bill from energy efficiency alone, depending on the facility. Combined with solar and battery storage, the reduction can be much larger at suitable sites, although some fixed and grid charges usually remain. Your free audit gives an exact projection.
What is the payback period for energy efficiency projects?
Most Infinergi efficiency and solar projects pay back in 2 to 4 years. No-cost measures such as scheduling and demand optimisation pay back immediately.
What is a maximum demand charge?
For many commercial and industrial TNB tariffs, you pay for the highest kW demand recorded in the month as well as for kWh. A single spike, for example several chillers starting together, can set that charge for the whole month. Staggering start-ups, smart controls and batteries reduce it.
What is the Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA) on my TNB bill?
Since July 2025, TNB's tariff includes a monthly Automatic Fuel Adjustment that replaced the six-monthly ICPT. It adds a surcharge or gives a rebate per kWh depending on fuel costs. Using fewer kWh, or generating your own solar power, reduces your exposure to it.
Is there a free energy audit in Malaysia?
Yes. Infinergi provides a free, no-obligation energy audit for businesses in Peninsular Malaysia, with a personalised RM savings projection within 5 business days.

Technology & smart buildings

What is IoT energy monitoring?
IoT energy monitoring uses connected sub-meters and sensors to measure electricity use of individual circuits and equipment, typically every minute, and sends the data to a cloud dashboard. It shows where energy is wasted and verifies savings. Infinergi uses the Eniscope platform, deployed at more than 16,000 sites worldwide.
What is a smart building?
A building that uses connected sensors, meters and controls to measure energy and conditions in real time and automatically adjust equipment like air-conditioning and lighting. Infinergi retrofits smart building technology into existing buildings in hours, with or without a BMS.
Does energy monitoring disrupt operations?
No. Installation is typically completed in hours with zero disruption to operations.

Solar & battery storage

Is commercial solar worth it in Malaysia?
For most businesses with daytime operations, yes. Commercial rooftop solar typically pays back in 3 to 5 years (often faster for industrial sites), and panels carry 25-year performance warranties. See commercial solar in Malaysia.
What is Solar ATAP?
Solar ATAP is Malaysia's rooftop solar programme that replaced net energy metering (NEM). Surplus solar exported to the grid is credited against the bill for a 10-year term. Non-domestic systems can be sized up to 100% of maximum demand, capped at 1 MW. Check SEDA for current rules.
Is Infinergi SEDA registered?
Yes. Infinergi's solar business is SEDA registered and handles Solar ATAP, SEDA and TNB applications for clients.
Do I need a battery with solar?
Not always. Batteries pay off where maximum demand charges are high, where evening use is significant, or where backup power is critical, such as hospitals and manufacturing. We model this in your audit.

Financing & zero CAPEX

Can I install energy efficiency or solar with no upfront cost?
Yes. With zero CAPEX financing, an investor funds efficiency equipment and you share the verified savings, or a solar PPA lets you buy solar power below your TNB rate. On qualifying projects, deals are designed so expected savings exceed payments from month one, and savings guarantees are available on qualifying contracts.
Are there tax incentives for green technology in Malaysia?
The Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA), administered by MGTC, allows qualifying companies to claim tax allowances on eligible green assets such as solar, and now runs until 31 December 2030. Confirm your project's eligibility with MGTC and your tax adviser.

Compliance & sustainability

What is EECA 2024?
The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 took effect on 1 January 2025. Energy consumers using 21,600 GJ or more over 12 months (about 6 GWh) must appoint a registered energy manager, implement an energy management system, carry out energy audits and report to the Energy Commission. Read our EECA guide.
How does energy efficiency help ESG reporting?
Electricity use is reported as Scope 2 emissions. Reducing kWh lowers your emissions, and Infinergi's automated reports provide metered kWh and CO₂ figures for sustainability and ESG reports.
